Welcome
Who We Are
Common Ground Ecovillage has a strong core of committed members who are giving of their time, talent, and resources to building a community together. We are a growing group of individuals and families from the Triangle area and beyond, ranging in age from 20’s to 80’s. Except for several retirees, we have middle-class jobs in the area as teachers, farmers, business managers, computer technicians, artists, musicians, and more.
What It's All About
We envision a world in which people live in justice and harmony with each other and the land. Our mission is to actualize Common Ground Ecovillage as an agrarian intentional community that is regenerative, collaborative, creative, and celebratory in all that we do.

The Land
Common Ground Ecovillage is nestled midway between Mebane and Hillsborough just west of the North Carolina Triangle area. This beautiful 112-acred portion of the Piedmont is graced with rich pastures, woodlands, wetlands, a spring-fed pond and a substantial creek which flows into the Eno River.
The Almanac
The Autumnal Equinox, the tipping point between Summer and Winter, is nearly upon us. It’s fitting that Common Ground, too, is at a tipping point in our long history of growing Intentional Community. We’re headed towards breaking ground in the near future which is both exciting and challenging; creative and destructive, and we’re mindful that the time is now to move ahead in resonance with our vision to live in justice and harmony with each other and the land.
